3,000 FFA members tour the Honey Farm while at their Natl. Convention in Indy!
An Educational and Sweet Tradition
Each October, as the National FFA Convention fills Indianapolis with the next generation of agricultural leaders, Hunter’s Honey Farm welcomes visiting chapters from across the country.
This year, we were thrilled to host 175 FFA tour groups, representing thousands of students from states including California, North Dakota, and Ohio – all eager to learn about beekeeping, honey extraction, and sustainable agriculture.
The energy they bring makes late October one of our favorite weeks of the year!
Our visitors were curious, polite, and full of great questions as they explored how raw honey makes its way from bee to bottle.

Hands-On Learning and Sweet Discoveries
Students got a close-up look at live observation hives, saw how honey is extracted and bottled, and even sampled a few of our best-selling products, from comb honey to our famous honey lemonade (“the best in the entire civilized world!”).
Many students filled their own mini honey bears to take home, while others stocked up on honey sticks, maple syrup, and handcrafted beeswax gifts.

Building Agricultural Awareness
Beyond the fun and flavor, this annual event reflects what both FFA and Hunter’s Honey Farm stand for: education, sustainability, and supporting local agriculture. Each tour is a chance to spark curiosity about pollinators and the crucial role bees play in growing the food we all rely on.
As one local visitor put it, “Hunter’s Honey Farm is a true Morgan County treasure, a blessing to so many.” We couldn’t agree more; we’re proud to be part of this community and honored to help inspire the next generation of farmers, beekeepers, and entrepreneurs.
Thank You, FFA!
We’re already looking forward to next year’s visit. Until then, students and educators can learn more about our farm tours, honey extraction process, and educational programs at HuntersHoneyFarm.com
