Honey Banana Nut Cake
Add a cup of honey and transform a classic banana nut cake into a delectable banana nut cake.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups cake flour
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cup ripe mashed bananas
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup shortening (Crisco butter flavored)
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

Instructions

Mix well all ingredients saving 1/2 of nuts. Bake at 325 degrees 40-50 minutes in oblong or tube pan. Drizzle warm cake with honey and add balance of nuts.
