Ingredients
Cake:
1 1/4 cups boiling water
1 1/2 cups quick oats
1 stick margarine
2 eggs
1 cup honey
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups cake flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Topping:
1/2 cup honey crunch corn flakes
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup quick oats
2 1/2 teaspoons milk
2 teaspoons melted margarine
Instructions
Cake:
Pour boiling water over oatmeal. Let stand 30 minutes, beat 1/2 minute. Beat in eggs, melted margarine, honey and brown sugar. Add sifted cake flour, soda, salt and cinnamon. Bake in greased and floured 9 inch cake pan at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes.
Topping:
Mix together well. Spread on cake as soon as it tests done. Place under broiler until it bubbles and browns. Watch carefully so it does not burn.
